gym flooring
Over at International Way, we took on a new challenge with the gym area — and what a great result it turned out to be. Within this 320m² gym, we installed TVS Sportec gym flooring throughout, mixing between two colours to give the space a more modern, boutique-style feel across both the gym and studio areas.
Alongside using a new product for us, we also had to carefully plan around the logistics of installing flooring over a spring subfloor system. The screed below the flooring is set on springs, which helps increase comfort and elevate the space, but also meant using the correct preparation materials to allow for expansion and movement - especially with heavy equipment expected to be used throughout the area.
This was a great challenge for our team, and we’re really proud of the finished result. It’s always rewarding to see specialist areas like this come together, and we’re looking forward to taking on more gym flooring projects in the future!
Havwoods Engineered Wood (Herringbone)
We used Havwoods Engineered Wood (with a herringbone effect) in community areas, such as shared workspaces and corridors.
Havwoods Engineered Wood (Straight Lay)
Other areas also had Havwoods Engineered Wood installed, but in a straight lay, which had to be perfectly aligned per plank.
Havwoods Preformed Nosings (With Coloured Inserts)
Staircases in the amenity areas featured Havwoods Preformed Nosings, which had metal nosings that were installed individually.
Chroma Object Carpet
The cinema room and meeting rooms were fitted with Chroma Object Carpet.

All entrances featured Tretford Entrance Matting which is a special durable matting with metal inserts.
